'''WHY are you motivated to support/develop this work?'''
I have worked in and out of environmental activism (mostly out alsways aware) since I was a student. To me OSE seems to have the capacity to join up so many people, disciplines and ideas that I have a feeling that it can make an immense difference globally. In the past my environmental activism has been flavoured with a great deal of despair, the sense of being tiny before a huge array of problems. OSE has the potential to bring so many of the tiny dots like me together.

'''Do you support open source culture?'''
Writing on linux :-)

'''Why are you interested in collaborating with us?'''
I'm excited to be at the start of what I see as a world changing movement. More personally I see it as an opportunity to add some secrurity to the future of my daughter and myself and broaden my skill sets at the same time.

'''How do you think that the GVCS and Open Source Hardware can address pressing world issues?'''
Yes or I would not be apart of it.

'''What do you like in OSE Europe?'''
I learn through e-mails of what is already happening. It has a self organising quality that seems to be respectful of the individuals.

'''What should happen so that you become more involved with OSE Europe?'''
Once there are physical centres in which work is being done I will add my skills and labour. I will consider living in one, and it will be easier to direct people (friends, family, acquaintances, work colleagues) to these centres to see the work and the potential.

'''What is missing in OSE Europe?'''
Physical community along with examples of how we are making it work and having fun.

'''What are your suggestions for improvement in OSE Europe?'''
I think that we are going as fast as we can. The most important thing is that we see ourselves as just a subset of open source culture which just happens to address some specific extremely pressing issues. That is already the case. In time there may be more need to consider the social dynamics and psychology of the OSEE. Right now we are getting on fine.

[edit]WHAT are your skills?
List all of your skills in these areas, at what level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and where did you practice them:
How have you already contributed to OSE, OSE Europe and Open Source Hardware?
[edit]HOW can you help?

How do you want to contribute?
Can you volunteer to work with us, and if so, how many hours per week? Or do you have a free timeframe (week, month)?
Are you interested in working with us for pay? If so, what services can you offer, and what is your hourly or per-project rate?
Are you interested in a Dedicated Project Visit in OSE Communities in Europe? If so in which country?
Are you interested in being part of one of the OSE communities in Europe? If so in which country?
Are you interested in building GVCS or other Open Source Hardware equipment in Europe? If so which ones?
Are you an OSE True Fan? If not, why not?
Would you like to see yourself working with us on a full-time basis?
Do you own land which could be of interest to us to develop an OSE Community or an Open Enterprise?
[edit]Your Friends and Community
What friends, people, communities and organizations do you know who are already doing valuable work for a better future? For example: open source hardware/software, sustainable agriculture, natural building, renewable energy, abundance based economies, local production or others?
What are the technological (machines, tools, structures, ...) and biological (people, animals, plants, ...) needs of your community so that it becomes self-sufficient locally and globally connected?
Are your friends and community doing valuable work for a better future? How can they become more involved in this process and share more with everyone?

This is a log of ideas for OSE Europe.

=Visiting Villages=
Daniel Connell:
I'd like at some point to see a bit of a roadtrip of a couple carloads people visiting all the abandoned villages and areas in Europe, and surveying the hell out of them. Any and all kind of data that can be collected, photos, maps, economic legal and council issues, environment, soil, water, all of it. This then databased and made available so that anyone anywhere that is thinking of finding work and living space for their community project can at least knock their options back to what's most viable before physically visiting them.

We're lucky to have Millares, but as we branch out, and others doing this are going to need to take advantage of rural or urban slack space, and anything we can do to make that process easier makes the process that much more viable.
We are preparing for a conference call, as announced in [http://blog.opensourceecology.org/2011/06/o-s-e-europe-launch-and-jeremy-blum-o-s-electronics-london-interview/ the blog] by Will Cleaver. More information will be published here.

==Goals==

What will be the goals of OSE Europe? There are several possibilities, not mutually exclusive:

* OSE Advocacy and "Publicity" in Europe
* An open business, where people can work for a living building and selling products using OSE technology
* A FactoreFarm for Europe: Means developing tools in parallel with the current Factor e Farm.
* A community: creating a self sustaining village using the GVCS
