Oscarproject: /* CARE Community Arts & Recycling Exchange */

Hello Open Source Ecology team and users. I want to introduce you to a page I'm developing that aims to create open source design for the benefit of all hardware developers.

https://sites.google.com/site/civilization2point0/home

Specifically, I'm interested in solar for gasification, steam electrical generation, and feedstock allocation & preparation for the gasifier. I believe this technology, which is nearly 100% efficient, will replace our domestic fossil fossil fuel requirements with synthetic biofuels; aka renewable or green fuels. In terms of feed stocks, it would take the mass production of algae to meets these huge demands coupled with other bio mass and recycled materials like tires, plastics, and hazardous waste. Since algae is the fastest reproducing plant and provides the majority of our oxygen already it makes sense to develop widespread farming of algae for food nutrient supplement and for energy.

Because we has a major problem with methane pollution at the land fill as well as a host of pollution problems as a result of dumping civilizations post consumer scraps in the ground to be covered over, I'm determined to close these sites and bioremediate them utilizing solar gasification. This badly damaged land, once a liability, transforms into an education center for open source manufacturing and recycler community called O.S.C.A.R.Villages. The acronym stands for Open Source Civilization of Abundant Resource. This community will teach a permaculture education, an eco vocational format. This enables students not only to understand the components of sustainable and local resource based community, but they will have the hands on experience to help rebuild our polluted dump sites into viable resilient recycler villages.

Its important that this recycler village is self replicating through open source hardware design/build methods. With the leadership of Open Source Ecology, its easy to realize that like myself, many people are discovering that sharing the efficient modular design opens the door to freedom for all species who support us. The widespread construction of the basic machines required for advanced civilization is one of the keys to changing the paradigm from a scare resource situation to one of abundance. We are effectively hacking civilization as we know it to have chance to fulfill our potential. The matrix of the industrial age that elevated us from the state of simplistic agrarian life, a beautiful thing as well, is transcending into the information age of Aquarius with the emergence of the open source sharing concept. We are learning to minimize wasted energy and pollution that results enabling a means to rebuild the damaged ecosystems that the capitalistic model of externalizing( a form of theft) has inherited to the world. We have alot of work to do but this is a great start. Thank you for taking time to review Open Source Ecology on the web.

== Eco Depot ==

Synopsis of ECO DEPOT
A business model for sustainability

Eco Depot= From ecology, the understanding of the relations that living organisms have to each other. Depot translates as storehouse.

Overall focus:
Eco Depot diverts low to no value scrap materials such as construction debris, tires, biodegradables, and mixed plastics, from the landfill into clean renewable transportation fuel. Eco Depot provides fuel voucher incentives for haulers and the general public when they drop off their garbage and recyclables at our Material Recovery Facilities or transfer stations. Materials are separated and weighted by a station attendant. The donor receives a credit toward Eco Depot’s Green diesel or Gasoline, clean burning fuels provided by partnering common fuel stations. Eco Depot excepts all discarded material which would pollute the environment at the landfill. We can safely handle toxic waste, medical waste, animal waste produced from food processing plants, manures, sewage, construction debris, plastics, and used tires which are converted into synthetic fuel. In short, Eco Depot adds value to all “waste” materials there by eliminating the concept of waste, something that inherently has no value.

Methane Digestion and Algae production
All of the organic biodegradable materials are loaded into the methane digestor. Sludge sewage water is added which ferments creating methane and carbon dioxide. The methane is burned in our steam generator which produces all of the electricity to power our plant while selling surplus power back to the grid. The C02 is feed to our algae bio reactors. Other agriculture waste is is feed to the algae fermentation tanks. This provides sugars to the algae enabling a 24/7 production cycle. These algae are harvested and pressed for their abundant oil content. The bio oil is gasified and turned into synthetic fuel. These processes consume C02 from the atmosphere creating carbon neutral energy.

Eco Depot statement of purpose:
Closing the landfills and disrupting the Petroleum industry is our commitment to a sustainable planet. The rich petro oil companies will have to invest in Algae to compete with the emerging bio fuel tech companies. The EPA has stated that methane released from food and other bio mass rotting in the landfill is one of the major contributors to air pollution and atmospheric unbalance. Right now the ecology of planet earth is in a very vulnerable state. Humans are consuming our resources inefficiently causing widespread waste and pollution. Our oceans are filled with trash and we are over havesting species of aquatic life. Our oceans must be protected. It is time to take our destiny into our hands. It is unacceptable that executives and stock holders of the petroleum industry are earning record breaking profits extracting Earths’ coolant ( fossil crude),while we have healthy alternatives to meet those energy needs. If we don’t extract carbon from the air to make carbon fuels, the carbon neutral Eco Depot process, a surplus of co2 reduces oxygen levels. This is well known by most. If our temperatures fluctuate too much our ice caps begin to melt at the poles. The change in salinity in the ocean changes the ocean temps and ability for algae to grown. Algae provides most of the oxygen to our planet. I understand that these corporations that have bigger economies than small countries and make billions of dollars per year in profits are beginning to develop algae production for energy. Eco Depot provides another strong demonstration for them that clean green domestic energy is not only profitable but critical and enviable.

Eco Depot Development Phases
Phase One:
Eco Depot Power-plant: Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and Pyrolysis/ Fuel Refinery.
The Powerplant is the heart of Eco Depo. This site will be developed near the 1 95 corridor. It is composed of three processes. The MRF mechanically separates the materials into separate piles. Materials like concrete and glass are made into building blocks for new building construction. Metals are ground up and smelted into ore for recasting machine parts. Biodegradables are loaded in the methane digestor for electrical production. Plastics, wood, paper, tires, other construction debris are ground and prepared for thermal decomposition. This closed loop emissions free process uses plasma gasification to convert the solid material into a gas, then into a liquid energy rich synthetic crude oil. The crude is run through a refinery process to distill the oil into constituent fuel grades such as diesel and gasoline, and jet fuel.
Material drop off Stations:
A network of transfer stations are developed at every major interstate exit that lead to a town with any sizable population. These material transfer stations are staffed by a small crew who separate and weigh all donated materials before loading them into separate containers. A voucher is given to donors to redeem at any fuel station that carries Eco Depot’s synthetic green diesel and gasoline. Eco Depot will partner with a large fuel distributor who will provide a green fuel pump for cars and trucks. Once containers are full, trucks are dispatched to deliver the containers to the MRF. Then the materials are processed for feedstock for the Synthetic fuel production. Once the fuel is refined into diesel and gas, a tank truck is dispatched to the partner fuel distributor.

Our Target Market:
Our target market is to attract refuse and recycling haulers. If our community garbage haulers can drop their loads avoiding the tipping fees at the landfill and receive a fuel credit, we believe the landfills will be out of business.

Phase Two:
Landfill mining:
We want to offer a contract to purchase all of the materials in the ground from the landfill owners. Many of these sites are dangerous and a huge pollution liability over time. We offer to bio re mediate the landfill site so that the land owner will have options for developing their property without the worrying if they are destroying the natural resources around their land. Eco Depot will send in excavators and grinding equipment to efficiently load the landfill’s debris for transport. The material will arrive at the MRF which will separate all of the small pieces for the value adding process and fuel feedstock preparation. Eco Depot will also be contracted to clean up EPA Superfund sites.

Phase three:
Eco Depot Travel Plaza
Our travel Plaza is the flag ship of retail for our green products. We offer the sustainable and organic option to the travel and transportation segments of the economy. If you've traveled the highways and interstates in America you know how homogeneous the services are that provides food, lodging, and fuel. Our solution is a modern truck stop that supports local economies, recycled material building construction, recycled commodities and organic non gmo foods.
Lodging:
We offer hourly lodging so you can pay for the time you need to rest. 24 hours is sometimes three times as much time needed to lodge. This is a more affordable alternative to the standard 24 hour lodge rental.
Local organic food:
We offer the all organic Cafe. Our foods are sourced from small family farms with in one hundred miles. If the agricultural resources are not available, Eco Depot will sponsor a farmer by financing their land interest free. Eco Depot will provide seed money for green houses and equipment to get small farms up and running to supply our Travel Plazas. This is very important improvement to our fast food chain offerings. Genetically Modified Foods are a real burden on many levels. Eco Depot’s Organic Cafes are a beacon of light for the heath of the land and for our nutrition.
Locavore Convenience store.
This dry goods shop offers useful products for the traveler. Everything from hygiene products to snacks, to natural soft drinks, The Locavore aims to be the general store of eco friendly commodities made from in state artisans and makers. Eco Depo will develop a network of DIY product makers within each state that the Eco Depot operates in order to promote that states economy and work force. We offer financing on 3d printers and computers to enable makers to print useful recycled plastic products. This is a great low cost solution for providing many of the things that we currently import from developing countries where people work in unsatisfactory conditions.
Yoga and fitness center.
Want to help power the building’s energy needs while getting some exercise? Our tread mills add power to the grid while people get their run on. Yoga instructors teach class on stretching and energy healing techniques. This will offer drivers more energy for the long haul.

These are a summery of the goals of Eco Depot; Americas New Age Travel Plaza and material recycling for renewable fuel infrastructure. Please get in touch if you are interested in developing this important franchise.

== CARE Community Arts & Recycling Exchange ==

C.A.R.E. Community Art & Recycling Exchange

A recycling operation that converts biodegradable, plastics, and glass materials into compost, five gallon recycled glass vessels, and purified water. The operation is funded by the sale of finished compost and purified water delivered in five gallon glass vessels.

Facility and intake:
Our Material Recovery Facility, or MRF, is located conveniently for residences and business to drop off their discarded plastic, glass, and biodegradable material. This organic material includes food scraps, lawn debris, paper, cardboard, manure and animal carcass. There is no charge for dropping off these materials. We hope this is a large incentive for homes and business who also want to reduce the cost of their refuse hauling.

The processes: Organic material processing into compost.
Organic material is sorted into two categories, nitrogen and carbon rich materials. Cellulose based materials are the carbon feedstock and everything else is nitrogen. These are mixed together in a one to one ratio before loading into a large in vessel composter. This in-vessel unit is a large rotating drum that properly oxygenates the materials aiding the bacterial breakdown. The tumbler is loaded daily and downloaded daily at the other end. The downloaded material is put into static piles to finish and cool for several weeks. Once cooled, it is ready to be filtered for the finer particles and packaged into fifty pound recycled plastic bags.
Equipment needed: Front end loader, material mixer, in-vessel tumbler, trommel filter screen, bagging equipment.

Recycled glass vessel production:
All colors of glass are received and ground. The sand is filtered of its contaminates, such as paper labels, and is loaded into a kiln. The kiln melts the glass into forms that take the shape of a five gallon sized egg. A recycled plastic 3D printed casing is made to house the egg so it can be transported without risk of breaking.
Equipment required:
A tumbler loaded with steel balls continually crushing the glass into small particles. The sand is conveyed via tractor to the kiln. Glass egg molds. A 3D printer and the extruder that makes print stock from discarded plastic for the egg vessel housing production.

Plastics to energy to power the process:
All moving parts of these systems are energized via plastic thermal depolymerisation(gasification) which produces synthesis gas that is burned in an electric generator. One genset produces dc current to maintain a battery bank. All motors are powered by this battery bank. The glass kilns are run on 220 volt ac power produced by the ac genset running on gasified plastics. The 3D printer and extruder are powered by 220 v ac as well.
Summary of Equipment required:
Plastic shredder, gasifier including auger and filter system, both ac and dc electric gensets, battery bank.

Water Purification Plant
Water is drawn off the utility or collected from the river. It is boiled using heat from the gasifier and generator exhaust. It is re-condensed and filtered through layers of mineral sands. Then the water is vortexed in a ceramic egg vessel. A magnetic sand surrounding the egg restructures the water molecules. To further enhance this healing water, we expose it to ultraviolet light. Also, the water is exposed to the resonant sound frequency of 136 hertz, which is the earth tone that musical tuning forks are tuned to. This water will be singing with vibration by the time it is dispensed into your glass egg.
Equipment required:
Water distiller, mineral filter, several large ceramic egg vessels for restructuring, ultraviolet lights, magnetic sand, sound frequency generator, and dispensing unit.

Distribution:
Ideally, when you come to our facility, you can both drop off your recyclable materials, have your glass egg vessel filled and pick up some compost, all at the same time. When you purchase your vessel, we will engrave your encasing with your name so that it won't be lost. We refill the vessel for everyone based on a sliding scale of what you can afford, so that no one is denied purified water. If you don't have any money to exchange for your water, we offer volunteer opportunities to help and learn the process.

Delivery:
CARE offers delivery of our purified water jugs as well as collection of your recyclables. For a fee, we can set up regular or on demand courier service.

In summary, the entire operation can exist on a footprint of several acres. The process is operated both indoors and outdoors. We we would like to partner with a fabrication shop, who can build pedal powered vehicles for the courier service, to further reduce the carbon footprint of our recycling and water distribution.

Our name, C.A.R.E. is an acronym for Community Arts and Recycling Exchange. This means we aim to support the arts by hiring artisans to create designs on the encasement of our water vessels. We also support community gardens and schools with donations of compost and purified water to help our community grow as healthy as it can.

Thank you for taking time to read this proposal and I hope that CARE, with the help of our community, will make a very positive impact on the environment and our mind, bodies and spirits. It should certainly reduce landfill pollution and the expansion of landfilling valuable material discards.

If you are interested in getting involved, we will need grant writers, web developers, architects and engineers, as well as people with great PR skills. Please send me an email to dickiehaskell@gmail.com to get started.

We hope this is a large incentive for homes and business who also want to reduce the cost of their refuse hauling.

The processes: Organic material processing into compost.
Organic material is sorted into two categories. Nitrogen and carbon rich materials. Once cooled, it is ready to be filtered for the finer particles and packaged into 50 pound recycled plastic bags.
Equipment needed: Front end loader, material mixer, in-vessel tumbler, trommel filter screen, bagging equipment.

Recycled glass vessel production:
All colors of glass are received and ground. The sand is filtered of its contaminates such as paper labels and is loaded into a kiln.
A 3D printer the and extruder that makes print stock from discarded plastic for the egg vessel housing production.

Plastics to energy to power the process:
All moving parts of these systems are energized via plastic thermal depolymerisation(gasification) which produces synthesis gas that is burned in an electric generator. One genset produces dc current to maintain a battery bank. All motors are powered by this battery bank. The glass kilns are run of 220 volt ac power produced by the ac genset running on gasified plastics.

It is recondensed and filtered through layers of mineral sands. Then the water is vortexed in a ceramic egg vessel. A magnetic sand surrounding the egg restructures the water molecules. To further enhance this healing water, we expose it to ultraviolet light. Also the water is exposed to the resonant sound frequency of 136 which is the earth tone that musical tuning forks are tuned to. This water will be singing with vibration by the time it is dispensed into your glass egg.

Equipment needed:
Water distiller, mineral filter, several large ceramic egg vessels for restructuring, ultraviolet lights, magnetic sand, sound frequency generator, and dispensing unit.

Distribution:
Ideally when you come to our facility you can both drop off your recyclable materials and have you glass egg vessel filled and pick up some compost all at the same time. When you purchase your vessel, we will engrave your encasing with your name so that it won't be lost. We refill the vessel for everyone based on a sliding scale of what you can afford so that no one is denied purified water. If you don't have any money to exchange for your water, we offer volunteer opportunities to help and learn the process.

Delivery:
CARE offers delivery of our purified water jugs as well as collection of your recyclables. For a fee, we can set up regular or when you need it courier service.

In summary, the entire operation can exist on a footprint of several acres. It is both under roof and outdoors in nature. We we would like to partner with a fabrication shop who can build pedal powered vehicles for the courier service to further reduce the carbon footprint of our recycling and water distribution.

Thank you for taking time to read this proposal and I hope that CARE, with the help of our community, will make very positive impact on the environment and our mind bodies and spirits. It should certainly reduce landfill pollution and the expansion of landfilling valuable materials discards.

If you are interested in getting involved, we will need grant writers, web developers, architects and engineers as well as people with great PR skills. Please send me an email to get started. dickiehaskell@gmail.com

Oscarproject: /* Eco Depot */ new section

== Eco Depot ==

Biography of the last five years of my life hoboing and Discovering purpose. Here is my Philosophy

A sense of understanding about the nature of reality requires a leap of faith. We cannot remember creating our life before birth but I must assume that we did prescribe our physical life. I make this leap of faith to remember to take full responsibility for what has transpired and what is to come.
The victim archetype is our greatest hurdle and besets much disruption to the organic flow of life. To realize our potential, we must achieve intuitive confidence beyond our ego which stands behind the helm steering the course.
The victim is the state of mind which a person doesn't realize that they are responsible for everything that happens to them. This is where faith comes in because we all had our memories erased when we were born. Shamans and mystics have gone into our higher conscious to bring back knowledge that our spirit body co created all that exists before we entered our physical bodies. So during our time in eternity, we choose all of the random paths that will present to us. Our spirit signs up to play the parts and constructs the intuitive to avoid certain roles that we will encounter on along our journey after we are born. Therefore before you learn your true faith or constitution, we cant take responsibility for our the outcome of our circumstances and fall into the victim trap. This is the primary difference between an enlighten soul and the sheepeople who perpetually mis opportunities to awaken and take their destiny into their hands. All of us in our youth will play the victim to identify with suffering and loss. Again, its a necessary path in order to identify with the struggles of our peers and learn to forgive ourselves for taking more than giving. Otherwise we would judge everybody as inferior finding ourselves to be hypocrites without friends.

My victim days created many disruptions that have held me back from doing my best or making the effort to be a leader or hero. I was a victim of not having many expectations growing up. My parents had guilt for not handling their divorce well and couldn't stand up to say what wasn't up to par with me for fear I would remind them of their shortcomings. This must be all too common for children of divorced parents. General disappoint on both sides develops over the years and apathy eventually sets in. I never realized the importance of learning to be self reliant because why persist if you dont have to? Its easier to move on to something else if your ticket is paid. This is why I got on legal methamphetamines, know as Ritalin, because my excuse was a common one capitalized by the medical field to treat Attention deficit disorder. Boy you want to talk about a scary person, people on meth are the most terrifying. Sadly we have our children on these meds which the pharmaceutical industry makes great profit from.

There is know basis in reality when you get out into the real world and don't have any self control and lots of addictive behavior. Responsibility is a huge burden to the childlike me oriented behavior habits. So you gravitate toward mind numbing substances and i abused lots compounding my dysfunction. Not everybody is whiling to go through the discomforts of hitting the wall winding up on your ass. Most folks in this position would make a choice to buck up and humble themselves by participating in something that they really dont want to do. The other option is to sell all possessions and hit the streets. I knew that I would make it out alive because Ive excelled when I didnt even try. If you don't know this, dont hit the streets because it really is a scary place. Nobody has sympathy for the guy who has given up. If your clothes are dirty and you look like you haven't bathed, expect for people to not want your presence.

In 2007 when I first became homeless was when the trust fund ran out. Ii spun my wheels expecting a comfortable life but wasn't whiling to provide the hard labor required to maintain it. It caught up to me by mid 2009 when Id overstayed my welcome,at a friend's small apartment in southern cal for nine months. I had to get out of there quickly but had few options. Like before getting stuck, I hopped a freight train with know Idea where it would take me. I woke up in the Oakland shipping container yard and walked with a hungry stomach to Berkeley after a cop made the suggestion. I found refuge in Peoples Park where other people where living under the redwood trees having exhausted all of their resources. While most of the people there were just getting by watching the world from a distance, I had not totally resigned myself. It was a fairly tame environment being on a collage campus. I was entertained and saddened to observe wingnuts raising hell until the cops would snatch them off to the looney bin. Many of them would wind up back in the park and the process would repeat. I walked all over the city, sometimes picking up trash, with out shoes throughout the winter going into 2010. I picked up most all of the trash in the park every few days for three months before getting arrested and beaten by the cops who hauled he off to a very horrible jail. I was bailed out three days later by a community member who Id never met that was affiliated with Food Not bombs. Id done lots of volunteering with FNB serving organic vegan meals in the park and gotten to know folks living in various community houses. Eventually i started camping in the back yard of a long running squat house in north Oakland. It was a peaceful place to sleep under the stars and plum trees for most of 2010 while continuing my service regularly with Food Not Bombs. I developed a bad pot smoking addiction because it was so abundant but mostly resulting from a lack of self control. Being high all the time was a roller coast. Id didn't feel normal unless I was in a state of pseudo bliss. It wasn't true bliss as I thought because eventually tensions rose with other members of the house. I soon found it uncomfortable at the squat and needed to find some sanctuary elsewhere again.

Thankfully in the nick of time, I was given pass by my parents who flew me home for Christmas. My clothes were so dirty that the person sitting next to me on the plane was holding her nose in disgust. Im sure my mom was a little disappoint too. I ended up living with an old friend throughout over half of 2011 which also ending on a very bad note ruining our friendship. I couldn't force myself to get out and find some work to contribute to the bills and she eventually sent me a letter telling say I was the most selfish person she'd ever met. I went back to Richmond and tried to work for my dad but didn't have the strength to keep up with his construction crew. Again I took the back door like so many times before and rode the Amtrak to New Orleans. My friends in Nola gave me a great place to stay in exchange for helping them set up a kitchen. I got involved with percussion sculpture artist Clyde Casey again whom we co-produced a tour in 2008 to Burning Man on a credit card I never paid back. I had a ball helping them put on community jam sessions with 30 plus people wailing away on Casey's Cozmic Drum Wheel. Living in New Orleans with all the temptations to party didn't feel too sustainable . I rode shot gun with a friend back to LA and sold my cell phone( like a bum) to make a quick trip back to the East Bay to visit friends. I had a strong desire to go visit my sisters family and my Dad for Christmas and was getting tired of bouncing around all over tar nation. Thank fully again my My Mom flew me back to the east coast to be with my sister,s fam for the holiday.

I was seriously trying to settle in Richmond, my hometown of 27 years. It was a good opportunity to reconnect with family and friends from the past. I began working on a food recycling project for my sister Lainie and her husband Steve’s restaurant in the city called Balliceaux. Then sadly my dad and I's relationship, which was strained due to his many disappointments in me, again dissolved abruptly. I'd was living at his newly renovated home when I packed my stuff into my back pack and hiked out to an empty warehouse near the train station. Meanwhile I reached out to my Mother for sanctuary again, like many times growing up when I had gotten kicked out of Dads. Fortunately they needed help renovating their kitchen and I had enough money to buy a train ticket. One day later I wound here in Midway Ga trying again to get back on my feet. After putting out lots of resumes and trying to refine my fragmented work history, I couldn't get a job offer in Savannah where I hoped to move. Recently from persisting, I finally landed a job and start cooking in a few days in downtown Savannah. Ill be renting a room and finally gaining some independence by grasping my destiny. Im now embracing my duties and responsibilities toward learning self reliance, a core Burning Man Principal.

Out of all of this chaotic travel on the road Ive reached some very helpful conclusions. These perspectives I wouldn't have if Id not kicked back and smoked a few joints and observed life from a distance, not to mention a few thousand Youtube videos.
First, i now believe that ultimately you can not get to the work of discovering your truest path unless you have discovered much that dint work for you.You shouldn't be too willful in the pursue of not pursuing or stumbling serendipitously into what the universe is leading you towards. Also, you have to know your character will handle going with out because you have to take risks in order to get over the roadblocks of societies antiquated institutions or norms. You have to trust yourself that no matter what knowing you will get you basic needs met. You must be whiling to give up everything and be open minded to recognize the opportunity you manifested from your hopes and dreams and desires.

Humanity in general is too overwhelmed trying to keep the basics taken care of. Were all gonna die anyway attitude perpetuates a widespread apathy. Our concepts of competition creates domination and thus scare resources. Because every morning we awake trying to compose ourselves to be ready for a full day of problem solving, we don't have the extra resources to deal with decomposition. By this I mean, considering the consequence that results from the scraps of our consumables. The post consumed materials are one of our biggest liabilities and yet we insist on dumping it in the ground externalizing the responsibility. The environment bears the burden which is biting us in the ass as the biological systems are breaking down slowly. Life is compartmentalized to relieve knowledge of the greater world of chaos. Its out of sight out of mind but our entitled society who demands a high standard of living must exploit the developing world who cant defend themselves. So we suffer this angst and overwhelmed state chronically.

It take 40 hours of work per week not including commuting to put food on the table and keep shelter over head. I didn't have any goals that were serious enough to give 40 hours of my time to something I didnt love. The only reason why Im so concerned with doing something revolutionary like turning garbage into clean energy is because I love humanity. People are so freaking amazing most of them that I attract. They deserve to have lots of kids and should have families for generations.

But we constantly have to live with this horrible fear that the ice caps are melting and the water is coming in and all of the planets biology will be thrown out of balance because the salinity change. What kind of future does that look like for a parent who has invested so much time and energy into nurturing their kids into this world? The most radical, revolutionary thing you can do is be a do-gooder. Be someone who considers the impact of their behavior on everything and some who shares instead of demanding a private domicile. Most of use have to be selfish in order to provide for number 1 and our immediate family. The key to contentment is being whiling to sacrifice your comfort to try something that you think you might be good at. Our youth is the great time to try things.I don't think anyone should commit themselves to a career or relationship until they have had a solid 10 years discovering different and random experiences.

I set myself free from the status quo at 27 and dropped out from all resources and community. I'm 34 now and turning thirty five in June. I hope to be doing what I really want to be doing by the time I'm 40. So Ive got a good five years of grunting it out to build the resources needed to get on with the meat and potato's. By getting in touch with the kind of goals Ill need to manifest my best vision of a life, when the going gets tough, Ill focus on whats to come. I believe that a person cannot find their bliss until they walk away from that which provides for them.

My goal is to help create civilization 2.0 which is a sustainable localized economy ecovillage were people work an average of two hours per day. The rest of the time they can explore there other talents. This village recycles the scraps of a local urban population and is built on a site that was polluted by that civilizations wasted materials. The recycler village will turn those scraps into materials for the building blocks of their community and for building open source machines to trade with other communities. This is a real sustainable model called OSCAR Communities. This means open source hardware manufacturing on a widespread level shifting the paradigm of today's wasteful methods. It my goal to help develop a library of critical modular equipment that small groups can build to develop their communities. This is an inspiration revealed by the Open Source Ecology team. Please check them out on the web and discover how you can disrupt the current game and evolve from the wealth of the few to the wealth of many.

== A work in progress ==

Goals for the OSCAR Project(OP):
OSCAR communities is the model for how urban populations achieve Zero Waste City status. This movement currently sweeping America is a response to people deciding they want to avoid pollution by reusing their discarded materials to enhance local economic benefit.

There is widespread blight in the post industrial fallout of our mid to large size cities. Oscar community redevelopment is a outline or blueprint for how cities can make the much needed improvements to infrastructure while re-appropriating the urban blighted areas.

Through the creation of Cooperative Green construction initiatives, people who have building construction skills or management knowhow can become member owners of the these redeveloped neighborhoods. The process involves maintaining the facade of the homes to preserve historical context but recycling all of the old materials into Leed certified green building materials for new home construction.

In order to house displaced people and the worker community who build this new infrastructure, our first construction effort is to create the manufacturing, housing, and education epicenter. From this complex all redevelopment can fan out. Here, our prototype village will demonstrate the efficient models for resilient and localized economy which provides purpose and place for everyone.

Global Village Construction set:
Outlined and implemented by Marcin Jakubowsky and the team at Open Source Ecology(an NGO) in Missouri, in order to build this sustainable village of ecology we call OSCAR, we must construct a manufacturing facility. Here we design, develop, test, publish, and educate people how to build the hardware and software for the construction of an entire modern village. We must embrace the open source hardware and software resources and communities to perpetuate the Internet data base of schematics so that other communities can build their open source society. This will take a large initial investment of people and money to buy scrap metals and begin building the 50 or so machines outlined by OSE that are need to create the urban village of the 21st centry, one that sustain a mostly autonomous infrastructure.

Why a need for change? A huge rant which most of you probably know.
Who are the ideal people to build maintain and proliferate this new paradigm of civilization and what is their motivation? This project serves the great need to heal the wounds of humanities shortcoming having grown quickly from agrarian concepts through the industrial age and now into the information digital age. Along to path we have created so much pollution, disease, and imprisonment to the extent that many of the people in our population are unwell and suffering; an unsustainable condition and not isolated to America.

Our education system is failing but cause the practical survival skills that graduates need are overlooked. Our economies are relying on services as our manufacturing has been outsourced to the developing world.

We rely on the prison industrial complex to deal with the inebriated and lost soul while created large bureaucracies and jails to facilitate the confusion and create much needed jobs.

We rely on the military industrial complex to create the globalized economy where multinational corporations homogenize the world as they have done to America with processed or cheaply made goods. Rural people are forced into polluted cities and poor living conditions to become wage slaves in factories to meet the great demand of the western consumer. The demand for war machines and armies to pave the way for corporations to import other countries valuable resources also perpetuates big box retailers creating new markets of consumption junkies. They expand their homogeneous warehouses to the far corners while taking out the mom and pop small business. Our commodities are made for quick disposal overwhelming the demand on raw materials. The abundance of junk overwhelms disposal systems resorting to more landfilling. A general scenario of waste, pollution, and resource scarcities perpetuate. How long can this go on before mother earth shakes us off like fleas?

Large land holders get subsidized to grown genetically modified soy and corn without proper research to determine the pitfalls. The consumers become the ginni pigs while illness such as allergies and issues with pollinators to name a few, have revealed that GMO is extremely dangerous on many levels.

Food is transported from away places reducing nutrient content and driving up the cost on the environment due to petrol consumption. The shipping cost are inflating prices making food less affordable.

The natural water resources are mismanaged and municipal water taps have fluoride and high levels of chorines which cause cancer. Petroleum based plastics and transportation fuels off gas toxins while diesel engines emits carcinogenic particles too small to filter leading to widespread caner related deaths.

The pharmaceutical industry sells medicines that harm other parts of your body trying to heal the problem and leed more often to addiction. We have an industry of death known as the health care industry perpetuating a robust economy from sickness and premature dying.

These industries of suffering are slowing wearing us down lust as the US dollar devalues every year. Inflation is becoming more and more a reality as the federal reserve, our central bank, keeps printing more money. Meanwhile the debit we owe to our trade parters rises higher and higher beyond our ability to repay it. Our debtors are simply buying up Americas resources for pennies on the dollar to collect their collateral for debts unpaid.

Everyone around me talks about a president thats doing this or not doing that. When will people wake up and realize we have to take our destiny. To avoid completely ruining our natural resources which are still abundant we must make a major step in the other direction. Here is a solution.

Many people seek a better way:
Here is an opportunity to create eco vocation. For our intercity schools that are over populated and struggle to reach the kids who are dont see much of a future worth doing homework for. This Project meet the needs of inmates as a transitional ground for leaning practical skills needed in the emerging green economy. Teamwork pods in stalled in jails and prisons is a prerequisite for someone jioning OP. This project is the place for someone with a felony who wouldn't be given a chance in the job market to learn how to build sustainable ecology development. The OSCAR Project heals the heart and mind of all who get involved by showing them their purpose in life. This purpose is to share you talents and creative abilities by working together to make a healthy resilient meaningful life within a chaotic world.

Through the open source economy, radical sharing through the information superhighway offers manufacturing and fabrication accessibility to all communities. This new paradigm enables people to understand how to manage their raw materials and recycling locally. This naturally governs communities helping them understand ways to nurture more cultivation to meet greater demand. Communities can now take their destiny into their own hands and not rely on governments and powerful corporations for their needs.

This formula will create great leaders who where once impoverished. Having survived the great hardships of destitute communities makes for resilient individuals who appreciate a better way to live beyond the fear mentality of fight or flight that they grew up with.

Recycling to end Landfills.
This concept functions as the materials recovery component making clean energy of an urban populations post consumer scraps.

Our goal is not only eliminate the need for landfills, but to bio re mediate these pollution sites recreating nature preserves hosting wildlife and bio diversity again. To this end we can be assured that our dump sites will cease to be a liability, thus become protected lands from human development.

The OP Epicenter:
The Epicenter turns a city's garbage and recycling into necessary energy to sustain its self. Our materials recovery center takes single stream recycling and garbage and separates the various materials for processing. -Plastics 1-7 are gasified into synthetic bio transport fuels.
-Glass is melted into blocks for building material.
-Metals are smelted into machinery parts.
-Organics such as food scraps, yard waste, agriculture waste, manures and sewage sludge are processed using black soldier fly larvae, red wiggler worms, and windrow composting methods. These insects generate feed for our livestock such as fish chickens and pets such as cats and dogs.
-Paper waste is made into fuel pellets for home heating and electrical generation. This comprehensive recycling program eliminates the concept of "waste".
Any material that doesn't wind up in one of these processes will also be ground up and gasified in a closed loop zero emissions process that generates syngas for firing a burner to boil water creating stream for our electrical generation.

Revenue from renewable power.
In many States such as California, small renewable clean electrical producers are being invited to sell their power to the grid. Los Angeles is one of the primary locations to consider for this project because its long growing season, large areas of urban blight and green energy legislation offers a project like OP the opportunity to bring in dollars to invest in developing its infrastructure without making loans. Our goal is to use solar furnaces to power the steam electric generation. With a water source, this means for making power is the cleanest and will generate a big return on investment.

Agriculture:
This site will host thousands of people so we need a robust system of year round organic food production. To achieve this we will need to excavate a area twice the size of a foot ball field six feet under ground. With a transparent roof, we invite the sunlight but capture the ambient 65 degree temp of the earth to regulate the our grow environment during the extreme temps of either winter or summer. The core concept here is aquaponics where six foot deep tanks hold various fresh water fish such as cat fish, salmon, and tilapia are grown and harvested for food. Floating on the surface of the fish tanks are planter beds that enable vegetable and fruits roots to absorb the water which contains the fish effluent providing nitrates and phosphates while cleaning the water for the fish. Our planets are also given worm casting to further boost the nutrients proved to the plants. Algae is cultivated to feed the fish as well as the Black soldier fly larvae and red worms that were generated from composting the food scraps. The black solider fly bins are situated over a section of the fish ponds next to the floating plant beds. Above the BSFL bins are the chicken coops and milk cow feeding area. The waste from these animals falls into the BSFL bins and gets processed. When the BSFL are ready to pupate they will self harvest and some of them will fall into the fish tank and some will crawl up to the chickens. With this system, labor is cut out feeding the animals and fish just but filling the BSFL bins with food scraps. Only when an animal dies of natural causes will we eat meats. This community will sustain its self mostly on fresh greens fruits, milk, cheese, eggs, butter, and nuts and grains. The we expect to amend the soils for several acres of fruit and nut orchards with the worm castings created by composting.

Any material that dosent wind up in one of these processes will also be ground up and gasified in a closed loop zero emissions process that generates syngas for firing a burner to boil water creating stream for our electrical generation.

The core concept here is aquaponics where this six foot deep sections are tanks of various fresh water fish such as cat fish, salmon, tilapia are grown and harvested for food. Floating on the surface for the fish tanks are planter beds that enable vegetable and fruits roots to absorb the water which contains the fish effluent providing nitrates and phosphates while cleaning the water for the fish. Above the BSFL bins are the chicken coops and milk cow grazing/ feeding area. The waste from these animals falls into the BSFL bins and gets processed. When the BSFL are ready to pupate they will self harvest and some of them will fall into the fish tank and some will crawl up to the chickens. With this system, lots of labor is cut out feeding the animals and fish just but filling the BSFL bins with food scraps. Only when an animal dies of natural causes will we eat meats. This community will sustain its self mostly on fresh greens fruits, milk, cheese, eggs, butter, and nuts and grains. The we expect to amend the soils for several acers of fruit and nut orchards with the worm castings created by composting.
