WHY are you motivated to support/develop this work?
*Do you endorse open source culture?
I do. I participate in it regularly - I was fed on an open source spoon as a child, as were we all.

*Why are you interested in collaborating with us?
See question 1 - to expand - I believe in open source culture, the power of technology to create and maintain ever more open cultures, and the power of agriculture and basic construction in a culture. I have strong distributivist leanings. I'm still navigating all these labrynths, but I want to navigate them by working with you.

*How do you think that the GVCS can address pressing world issues?
1. Make it possible for farmers/basic human needs to be produced without the burden (and servitude) of debt.
2. Leverage local farm work to stabilize developing countries, and power down a variety of tyrannies.
3. Use successful local production as an example of reasons for worldwide hope, stability, and openness.
4. Use local production and self-sufficiency to develop local, open cultures.
1-4. Watch the world become a better place.

*What should happen so that you become more involved with the project?
Just let me know what you need. Really - whatever I can do. Email me. See what I'm good at below.

*What is missing in the project?
Frankly? Brevity.

I know how hard that is. I know you're trying to accomplish a lot - but long descriptions set up barriers to entry.

*What are your suggestions for improvement of the project?
Make the Wiki and other presentation materials more brief, punchy, to the point, and accessible.

Make sure documentation is complete - but not so extensive (or necessarily extensive) to the point that following it is a net time loss.

WHAT are your skills?
Communications Accredited B.A. in English. Several years of experience in presentations, especially relating to education. Lots and lots of writing and editing. Very happy to group write and/or group edit. Skills in a variety of presentation software, and explaining technology processes to many levels of expertise. Storytelling a lifelong passion.

Education Five+ Years in Educational Technology - experience with LMS and CMS systems, primarily Moodle.

*How have you already contributed to the project?
Nothing, as of yet.

HOW can you help?
*How are you interested in contributing to the work of GVCS development?
Anything I can do - primarily course and documentation development and editing, as well as Wiki editing and writing.

*Can you volunteer to work with us, and if so, how many hours per week?
I can - to start at least 1 per week. Possibly more in the future.

*Are you interested in working with us for pay? If so, what services can you offer, and what is your hourly or per-project rate?
At this time, no. I am very happy with my full-time, paid job.

*Are you interested in a Dedicated Project Visit?
Yes - but said full time paid job takes up enough time to make this difficult.

*Are you interested in purchasing equipment from us to help bootstrap development?
Nope

*Are you interested in bidding for consulting/design/prototyping work?
Nope

*Are you a True Fan? If not, why not?
No - because I want to be a collaborator, consultant, and/or volunteer - not a fan.

*Would you like to see yourself working with us on a full-time basis?
Not at this time.

*Are you interested in being part of the world's first, open source, resilient community? The GVCS is the preparatory step for the OSE Village Experiment – a 2 year, immersion experiment (2013-2014) for testing whether a real, thriving, modern-day prototype community of 200 people can be built on 200 acres using local resources and open access to information? We are looking for approximately 200 people to fill a diverse array of roles, according to the Social Contract that is being developed. This may be the boldest social experiment on earth - a pioneering community whose goal is to extend the index of possibilities regarding harmonious existence of humans, ecology, and technology.
Not at this time, but I am looking forward to the results.
This may be the boldest social experiment on earth - a pioneering community whose goal is to extend the index of possibilities regarding harmonious existence of humans, ecology, and technology.
Not at this time.

*My UW Web space

WHY are you motivated to support/develop this work?
*Do you endorse open source culture?
I do. I participate in it regularly - I was fed on an open source spoon as a child, as were we all.

*Why are you interested in collaborating with us?
See question 1 - but really, because I believe in open source culture, the power of technology to create and maintain more open cultures, and the power of agriculture and basic construction in a culture. I have strong distributivist leanings. I'm still navigating all these labrynths, but I want to navigate them by working with you.

*How do you think that the GVCS can address pressing world issues?
1. Make it possible for farmers to produce without the burden of debt.
2. Leverage local farm work to stabilize developing countries, and power down a variety of tyrannies.
3. Use successful local farming as an example of reasons for worldwide hope, stability, and openness.

*List all of your skills in these areas: Communications - Organizational - Computer Support - Finances - Design - Natural Building - Electronics - Automation - Metallurgy - Engineering - Fabrication - Agriculture - Energy - Architecture - Video/Graphics/Art - PR/Marketing - Education - Construction - Industry - CNC - Chemistry - Product Design - Other

Not at this time.
