I am living in the Ribalske, Summys region, Ukraine from the end of 2012. Ribalske is small rural settlement with population less than 500 persons.

My wife and I moved from the Zaporozhye to this place because we want to live in more sustainable way. Here we have enough space to start open source development and fabrication projects. We are dreaming to start Opes Source Ecology initiative in the Ukraine. So, if you are searching the place for starting Fab Lab or some similar project that will be oriented on openness, creation and sustainability you may contact with me.

* One house on my land. It can be used for living of 1-4 participants ( or volunteers ) in the worm season, after small repair. It also can be used for annual living after heating system improvements. This is old small house where last owners were living before they had built those where we are living. All basic infrastructure is available. Electricity, water, CDMA Internet.

Nice forest is located near with us. The Vorskla river is land for 7 - 15 kilometers to the east from us. Our village is located for 100 - 140 kilometers from Sumy, Harkov, Poltava cities and for 25 kilometers from Ahtirka town. We have not bad transportation with Ahtirka and Sumy.
* Other house is located in neighbor village for 3 kilometers from us. It can include 2-4 participants or volunteers. But some infrastructural problems takes place there because the village is completely abandoned.

I think it is really important to say, how this paradigm is combined with human nature. Openness of fabrication tools and knowledges gives an ability for the people to realize themselves through the creativity. What is different between us and animals? Our ability to communicate, store and distribute knowledges which are the base of our survival model as species, is not it? When human feels cold, he does not wait while evolution will give wool for all surface of his body :) Human will start to invent fur coat. So, this is our nature. It says to us "... be creative ...".

If people will start to create they will become happier. And such way is differs from the current destructive social model of consumerism.

It is really interesting to develop CAD for permaculture design. But where we can find mathematic models of growing different plants?

There are so many conditions that affects the growth of plants. Sunlight, air and soil humidity, soil type, neighbor plants and so on... Did somebody try to describe mathematic model?
