You will build a minimal Open Source Microfactory to take home with you - which consists of the the 3D printer, CNC circuit mill, small laser cutter, and 3D printer filament maker. We will train you how to run public workshops building these machines. Then we can hire you full time - where you spend about 25% of your time running workshops - and the rest of the time in further research and development. We have discovered that running our Extreme Manufacturing workshops is a viable business model - where we can build a dozen machines in a single day, while providing an immersion learning experience. And, then people take the products home with them.

	In our program, OSE Fellows work remotely - but as part of a team. As we go forward, we will be developing ever larger collaborative processes and swarm builds. Fellows will run incentive challenges, virtual design sprints, and real life Extreme Design Jams. Fellows will spend about 2 months on site per year, during our Summers of Extreme Design-Build. We are pioneering collaborative techniques to create the open source economy - where we transcend proprietary development, and make open collaboration the norm.

	We realize that changing the world does not rely on technology as much as our mindsets. Tech can help, but the human condition relies on the stories we unknowingly play out, through the fictions that society feeds us. So we question everything. We ask how we can evolve as humans. We are looking for candidates with an open mind. We are looking for recent college grads, generalists, and people with a mindset open to learning. We have only 4 spots for the 5 week pilot program. 	So I started Open Source Ecology, coined the Global Village Construction set in 2008, and by 2011, got onto the world stage. We have now protyped about 200 machines, and it's time to get serious. At this 10 year mark of the Global Village Construction Set - I decided to write my opus - a book on this experiment - to mobilize for the next phase. Our next major milestone is immersion training - to address the need for a scalable team. Thus I'd like to announce - that This September 2018 we are offering our first ever - 5 week Immersion Program - for those who want to join us - full time.
