These are hot swappable filament cartridges. They will push fillament into BODEN style tubes and magnetically attached to the D3D. They will be able to rewind filament into themselves somehow so the extuder can eject old filament, and this can unwind it into the printer. This way we have automated filament change to accompany automated tool head change for our CNC like machines.
