New page

=Basics=
*An oil press for the production of bio-oils such as various seed based seeds, and algae oil
*Operates on a batch basis
*Is simpler to build however than the [[FLOS Continious Style Oil Press]]

=Used For=
*Oil Extraction from Biosolids

=Industry Standards=
*

=Existing Open Source Designs=
*

=Basic Design=
==Washing Stage==
*Washes the incoming feedstock

==Crushing Stage==
*Uses Millstones (or possibly a cement mixer like ballmill?) to crush and break open the feedstock allowing oil and residual water to be released

==Prep for Pressing==
*Then the solids are loaded onto fabric discs (or into pouches to increase ease of doing so, and possibly dessign a special funnel for this?)
*These are then loaded into the press tube

==Pressing==
*Consists of a Tube with a top and bottom hydraulic press
*The hydraulic press is used to extract most liquids from the feedstock
*Then for presscake removal, the top piston is put in neutral and the bottom piston pushes up so that it is flush with the tube entry, thus allowing the prescake cylender to be slid off
*Need to figure out where the liquid exit port is and if it needs a filter

==Filtering==
*First any small solids are filtered and settled out
*The liquid is then seperated into oil and water

=BOM=
*
