New page

=Basics=
*A weird middle ground between video games, flight simulators, and orbital mechanics
*You essentiall run your own space program, from sounding rockets to space stations
*It also has aircraft, space planes, landers, bases, and rovers
*It uses quite realistic physics, has a large community, and has support for mods with a large modding community
*Not open source, but anyone can buy it (~$20 or so, not including DLCs) and mods can be made by anyone and they are free to download
*Great as a teaching tool for aerodynamics and orbital mechanics, Also useful for designing aircraft and spacecraft (to a degree, not super useful, not 100% realistic, but good for testing ideas. For instance many spaceX fans have tested new designs beefore they are launched after they are designed + announced. One such example is the new "Starship" in this video by "Everyday Astronaut" being flown to the Games' version of Mars called "Duna" in this reccorded livestream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRBC08u8S20&t=8s
*The game is often abrreviated as KSP
*The game is solar system scale, and it is slightly smaller with weaker gravity to allow for easier and more fun gameplay (shorter rocket burns etc), although some mods change this
*There is also the feature of time acceleration to allow the user to essentially fast foreward time for things like long burns, and long gaps in between burns
*It also supports HOTAS Setups and FPV Flying
