As I was transitioning my professional role over the course of 2020 and concurrently dealing with the extreme strains work-from-home was placing on my staff and my clients, I became convinced that I would have to ‘pause’ my work with Marcin as the time I was investing to prepare for our discussions was significant and time I increasingly was struggling to find. Marcin instead transitioned us to ’30 minute weekly Fireside Chats’ where he gave me permission to just show up and asked almost nothing in the way of pre-preparation. I had concerns that this new structure would fail to meet Marcin’s needs and rise to the level of adding meaningful value. Marcin’s assurances that even this reduced level of attention has been valuable to him has enabled me to feel good about continuing an active relationship with Marcin.
