Brought Everyone up to Speed on what i Just Did

New page

The gas station underground tank cleaning job i just got off of (partially due to being new construction (rainwater + the more pressing [[Hydrostatic Pressure Testing]] water ( [[Retention Pond]] water was used as at the time no fire hydrants/plumed faucets were available…) was strict on this issue (not just expected due diligence but testing with a [[Storage Tank Dip Stick]] with some sort of water indicating paste/gel

Getting that last puddle or so with a [[EMT]] extension for the [[Vac Truck]] hose (called a stinger i think, 90 degree welded looooong pipe to reach the base of the tank, hits the “striker plate” so ‘’in theory’’ no risk of damage to the tank) was a bit of a pain but it’s not too intense pf a job, just inherently takes a while and is in the odd space between relaxing/being bored, and working hard enough (physically and/or mentally) thay you don’t notice time flowing by.

ANYWHO i read up on it a bunch, and Butanol especially had me intrigued as much of the content was (semi-validly) griping about Ethanol being in fuel, and I remember something about Butanol fixing most of Ethanol’s issues.

Figured i posted what I learned here (in passenger seat on the 1 Hour or so ride home, been doing some small edits here and there on mobile in cases like this), so hope this is interesting/helpful in Fuel Farm plots!
