New page

LONG TERM this stuff is pretty gnarly. Between it breaking down, or also certain plants growing through it / making it into a mess of roots isn’t great from a [[Design for Landscaping]] / [[Design for Decommissioning]] perspective etc

For [[Erosion Control]] though it PROBABLY does have a role. Perhaps [[Burlap]] or similar cloth could fulfill the role until the Seeded/Planted grasses/plants are established etc

I think in some FGT training on Excavation / Erosion Control (it doesn’t apply to us TOO much but basically like “don’t mix topsoil with the clay pile, fucking over the poor farmer who’s land you’re digging up to lay a pipeline in etc.

Also showed some neat [[Dewatering Structures]] and mentioned [[Terracing]] / [[Erosion Control Structures]] ‘’’as well as what i’m getting too which is’’’ they mentioned Hay + Netting, then the netting is staked down to hold the hay down.

Should be more economical than burlap/can be removed etc

There also was something neat i saw in Home Depot which was like pre-seeded burlap or whatever so at least THE IDEA is you just roll it and go (but don’t have the concerns of Sod Dying and whatnot)
