			I think [[Design for Repair]] / [[Design for Decommissioning]] etc is an area OSE Could leverage well. Also POTENTIALLY [[Sodium-Ion Batteries]] and/or [[Supercapacitors]] if we could get set up with the right supplier.

			Essentially have a "Stack" of modules+o-rings connected by [[Threaded Inserts]] thus allowing the whole pack to be torn apart and put back together easily without pyring it apart/melting glue etc

			Also [[Rubber Reversion]] wouldn't be an issue if the "Rubber Armor" was removable etc

			Having the [[Open Source BMS]] communicate by USB or [[CAN Bus]] (in a non-encripted manner) in order to make debugging batteries "on the fritz" would be WAY nicer of a [[UX]] than the status quo of blinking charger lights and putting it on and off a charging dock 10 times and still not 100% getting what's going wrong.

			It would NOT be a [[SWAP-C]] advantage, compared to COTS options, but optimizing for Thermals (Heat Dissipation with exposed heat sink fins, internal [[Heat Spreaders]] / [[Vapor Chambers]] etc) would be nice as well

			Doing a Hybrid Supercapacitor-Battery setup would again be bad from a swap-c perspective, but may adsorb some of the shock in demand off of the battery?

			All in all in order for these to REALLY shine, they would need a local nerd / makerspace / [[OSEH]] etc where anyone can drop it off + get it repaired on the cheap, otherwise going to home depot and getting a spare will make sense for most

			ALTHOUGH early adopters/nerds ARE a market, and there are examples of that ( [[Pinecil]] / [[TS-1000]] , [[Open Source Headphones]] / [[Open Source VR]] etc)

			Could also integrate that tamper resistant name/label idea i had a while back

			All in all this is a neat project, and i'm excited to brainstorm/work on it!

Can we make a power storage version that uses standard 12V "Car Battery" style lead acids, or lithium batteries, or Nicads

Not for mobile but for [[Tesla Powerwall]] and [[Tesla Powerpack]] type uses

they used 100AH LiFeYPO4 3.2V Battery Cells, as they didn't like the power loss of lead acids

~90.93 USD a piece

Supposedly "A standard small car battery is about 45 amp/hours." or ~4,500 mAH depending on which lead acid is chosen

Lead Acids go from around $50-300 depending on which style/company

2-3 of the nicads would have around the same capacity for $181.86-272.79 which is competitive (and has a longer lifespan making lifetime cost cheaper)

This was a bit of a rant, and may need it's own page, but i thought I'd Bring it up here first
