&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;New page&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;I really like this idea, but it seems that it might be best to try and use something more open than sms over gsm for communication.  There is openbts, but it is not a viable solution for most locations where government restrictions make it very difficult to operate something like openbts.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Are there any alternatives that could be used in this kind of situation, or is my assessment of gsm incorrect?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Also, should this comment go somewhere else?&lt;br /&gt;
