New page

=On the “Bone Broth” Fad Diet / Marketing Slop Stuff=
*Granted all this is largely an Op-Ed type stuff by [[User: Eric]] at least in this section:
*Humans are largely omnivores, and as long as one follows my “Grandpa’s Rule” of “Eat a little but of everything; if it’s bad “oh i only ate a little bit of that”, if it’s great for you “oh i ate a bit of that” etc you’ll probably be alright
**While of course having a Multivitamin every once in a while, “eat a damn vegtable once in a while” as the Onion put it lol, and MAYBE getting a dietician involved/doing some bloodwork+more targeted supplements (especially if doing something easier to potentially mess up like “Low Tech Veganism” etc, all can help
*WITH THAT ASIDE:
**While i did largely approach this from the perspective of Waste Reduction/ Waste Cleanliness (ie rotting meat/bear attractant vs near “clean” bones), to an extent some of what is produced by this could be a sort of crude Collagen / Gelatin Slop
**If you add herbs and use it as a cooking ingredient etc you could probably make something decent out of this
***Conversely there is probably some chemical way of processing this into something akin to Gelatin Powder / Hydrolyzed Collagen Powder etc
**The evidence on this stuff is ALRIGHT, probably can’t hurt/may help if you are a “skincare nerd” type/are already having joint issues (some Placebo Effect always helps too!)
***In terms of doing it for that sole reason:
****1.) Probably cheaper to buy this in-bulk COTS
****2.) From an ESG etc perspective, probably better to get the Vegan versions of this COTS
*****Unless using the magical unicorn eco-paradise raised, humanely killed, cleanly processed+disposed of stuff which is hard to do
*WITH ALL THAT SAID THOUGH, here’s some link spam on all that:
**[https://youtu.be/ok54ZC7DLB0?si=MDYZ9FK-FTKSwHNy A Video by the YouTube Channel “Mic the Vegan” Titled “Do Vegan Collagen Products Work for Skin Aging?” ] ( ‘’’~16 Minute Watch’’’ )
***Mentions a good number of studies, grab those+links and put em below later eric!
**[https://www.amjmed.com/article/S0002-9343(25)00283-9/abstract A 2025 Study in “The American Journal of Medicine” Titled “ Effects of Collagen Supplements on Skin Aging: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials” ]
***
