Lab Scale/Small Scale it can be attached to a (semi-) standard Distillation Apparatus (Although ideally with a [[Cold Trap]] + other means to protect the [[Vacuum Pump]] , or via a [[Rotavap]] . Large scale it can be done in a [[Multiple-effect evaporator]] / [[Falling Film Evaporator]] or VERY large scale in a [[Vacuum Distillation Unit]]<br /> <br /> The former is used for delicate samples/products like Pharmaceuticals, Food, and Sensitive Compounds etc<br /> <br /> The latter is used to get Heavy Fractions out of the Residuals of a STANDARD [[Fractional Distillation]] ( [[Crude Oil Distillation Unit]] / [[Atmospheric Distillation Unit]] )<br /> <br /> --[[User:Eric|Eric]] ([[User talk:Eric|talk]]) 21:03, 14 January 2026 (UTC)</div>
