Creating user page for new user.

New page

Young retiree, looking to build skills and bring this program to unhoused people. The main organized group in Oakland California that I work with is named "Homefulness", and I also build with the Winnemem Wintu tribe in Redding, California. I'm a former City Planner, and current residential builder/fixer with lots of experience in replace/repair. Can build almost anything, sometimes need instruction. Beware! I am short, so tall projects are challenging.

I have my own carpentry tools and a compact RV to carry both them and me. My RV has all comforts/necessities needed to live. Looking to collaborate, learn, and return with knowledge I can disseminate to people who want to help themselves and others grow and provide safe spaces in community with each other. Homefulness, through donations, has built a conventional 4 unit project against massive resistance from the City that has no interest in helping poor and homeless people to become self-sustaining. Homefulness has fundraised enough money to purchase a new site in East Oakland that they are considering building containers to live in, but I hope to bring this technology home before that happens. May or may not happen.
I rent/live in Richmond, California. I'm divorced and have a married son and two grandsons that I love!
