I grew up in the military (my father was a career Army Chaplain) and before starting Heroic Food, I was a professional writer and screenwriter, with a life-long interest in organic growing, botany, natural ecology, environmental health, sustainability, conservation, human ecology, health and community, interdependence and self sufficiency.
