<p><b>New page</b></p><div>I have been using freely redistributable software for several decades, starting with DECUS distributions in the 1970s.<br />
I have collected and published gigabytes of open source software;<br />
In particular, I edited the later Sun User Group tapes and all of the Prime Time Freeware (book/CD) products.<br />
As a result of this involvement, I was present at the strategy session (Palo Alto, 1988.0203)<br />
that adopted Christine Peterson's suggestion of the term "open source".<br />
I continue to use and promote free and open source software.<br />
