This model is only intended to show the retracted and extended distance between the mountings of the hyrdaulic cylinder. It should be noted that the model is only a work in progress and a lot of the finer details of the geometry are not accurate but the key dimensions are sufficient to allow progress on this task: http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/Development_Status_and_Needs#Commitments_for_May_30-31_Design_Sprint "cylinder fitting on backhoe."
Essentially I have tried to model item# 9-6775 from https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=9-6775&catname=hydraulic
- Bore 2-1/2"
- Stroke 36"
- Rod dia 1-1/2"
- Ports 3/8" NPT (port geometry not accurate)
- Retracted Length 48-5/8" (accurate on model)
- Extended Length 84-5/8" (accurate on model)
- End Mountings (geometry of the end mountings is not accurate )
