Materials
- [1] 15m (approximately 50ft) , 16AWG Extension Cord
- [1] Insulated Female 16-22AWG Quick-Connector
Steps
- Cut the extension cord such that the male plug cord is approximately 1m long.
- Strip the loose sleeves of the male plug cord and the female plug cord by about 30cm in order to expose the 3 wires: white, black, green.
- Cut the green wire for both the male and female plug cords where the stripped sleeve ends
- Strip the white and black wires of the male plug cord by 1.5cm.
- Crimp a female quick-connect to the now-exposed white wire of the male plug cord
- Strip the white and black wires of the female plug cord by 2.5cm.
- Insert the alligator clips' coloured sleeves into the female plug cord's black and white wires.
- Solder alligator clips to the white and black wires of the female plug cord.
- Link the male and female plug cords together by their plugs.
