Measure and mark the 4 mounting holes on the Fixed Block.

Check the magdrill's vertical alignment.
Mark the Base Flat to designate where the Fixed Block should be along the length of the Base Flat.

Mount a drill chuck.
Mark the Base Flat's outer mounting holes (the ones for fastening with the Base Plate)


Clamp the Fixed Block, oriented to drill the 4 mounting holes.
Clamp the Base Plate and Base Flat (on top of the Base Plate) onto a table with 4 C-Clamps such that 2 side faces of the parts are planar coincident.


Check the clamp's vertical alignment.
Accurately clamp the Fixed Block onto the Base Flat with 2 C-Clamps such that the parts are parallel.


Change the bit for the pilot hole.
Change the Magdrill bit for the 10.5mm DIA pilot hole.


Drill the pilot holes, moving to each hole location accurately.
Drill the pilot holes for the Fixed Block, match drilling into the Base Flat.


Change the bit for the thru hole.
Drill the pilot holes for the Base Flat, match drilling into the Base Plate.


Drill the thru holes, moving to each hole location.

Change the bit for the counterbore.
Clamp the Fixed Block onto the table.


Drill the counterbore, moving to each hole location.
Drill the correct diameter for the 4 mounting holes.

Drill the counterbores.

Mark the Base Flat from the datum edge along its width to designate where the Fixed Block should be along the length of the Base Flat.
Clamp the Fixed Block onto the table.

Match pilot drill the Base Flat using the Fixed Block as the template.
