501(c)3 Status
Donations may be tax-deductible in the U.S. through our Fiscal Sponsor.
Open Source Ecology, a Missouri not-for-profit corporation, is registered as a charitable organization with the office of the Secretary of State with the State of Missouri, and may lawfully solicit donations under Missouri Law. Open Source Ecology has applied for tax exempt status (section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code) from the United States Internal Revenue Service. Tax-exempt status was applied for in August 2012 and will be retroactive back to the date of creation of the Corporation: April 09, 2012.

While we await approval of our 501(c)3 application to the IRS, we have a fiscal sponsorship agreement with The Terra Foundation:
