- Continue to hydraulic power system detail:
- And tank plumbing.
Shopping List for April 27, 2009:
MicroTrac Body

3x8" cylinder, SAE 8 in/out, 16" closed pin-to-pin
File:Halfhose72.jpg
half inch npt hose
- Wheel motor - $250 - use quick coupling for interchangeability of motor, shared between devices
- Requires fabrication of quick coupler mechanism - equivalent of bicycle quick release except much stiffer
- MicroTrac will be required for use on many occasions, so wheel motor, though quick release, should be dedicated to MicroTrac. Another motor, used for MicroTrac auger, should be shared.
- Control valve, 3 body, SAE 12/16 In/Out, SAE 10 work ports, $200 - 25 gpm, # SAE 12/16 IN/OUT ports, SAE 10 work ports
- 3.0 inch cylinder - SAE 8 outlets - $45
- 2 bearings - 1 7/8" - $20 ea
- 2 double split collars - 1 7/8" - $7 ea
- Fittings and hose. Use quick couplers on motors and cylinders
- Motor - has in/out plus a case drain
- Valve - has in/out plus 3 identical work port pairs
- 6 - SAE 10 to 1/2 NPTM straight (as above) - $1.89 ea
- 6 for work ports and 2 for in/outlet - 1/2 NPT(F) quick coupler pair - (note that quick couplers fit just about exactly in allowed space of 1.5" between adjacent ports) - $16 ea
- 1 - SAE 12 inlet to 1/2 NPTF straight swivel - $3.79
- 2 (one for inlet, one for outlet) - 1/2" NPTM elbow - $2.75
- 1 - SAE 16 outlet to 3/4" NPTF straight - $5.25
- 1 - 3/4 to 1/2 bushing - $1.60
- 2 - 1/2x48" hose with NPTM ends - $10.75 ea.
- Cylinder
- Metal
- 1 7/8" shaft
- 1/8x1.5" tubing
- Bolts and other mounting plates
- Quick coupler plate metal
NOTES: Make the case drain outlet on the wheel motor accept the case drain from the implement. To do this, use a tee.
CEB Prototype 2
Hydraulics
- 5x8x2.5", 1/2" NPT ports, Dalton Hydraulic source, welded tee - $361
- 14 inch hopper cylinder - $119
- Auger motor, 1.9 cu in - $239
- Fittings and hose
- Main Cylinder
- 2 - 1/2" NPT elbows (same as above) - $2.75 ea.
- 2 - quick couplers (same as above) - $16 ea.
- 2 - 1/2"x96" hose - $17 ea.
- Main Cylinder
Guides
- Cam rollers -
- Guide Bearings -
Power Cube
- Coupler half, 5/8" - $10
- Coupler half, 1" - $10
- Solid spider - $14
- Hydraulic pump - 0.677 cu in, 5/8" keyed shaft, 10.1 gmp @3600 RPM, 3000 PSI max, 4000 RPM max - $180
- Filter - $17
- 14 GPM suction strainer - $20
- Fittings -
- Hose - suction from tank to pump - got it already; from pump to valve included already
- 2 - 1/2"x60" hose, NPTM - $12.35 ea
- 2 - 1/2" quick couplers (same as above) - $16
- Metal
Pulverizer
Note: can convert Rototiller to pulverizer, and auger (posthole, planting auger, mixer), according to 'lifesize erector set' philosophy. This can be done by exchanging the motor for a faster one, and using a different set of tines.
- Coupler - needs PTO 6-spline to 1-7/8" shaft converter
- Fittings - have PTO motor already; maybe purchase quick connects for it (in/out sae 10, sae 4 case drain)
- Go from SAE 4 to 1/4 male for $1
- Go from SAE 10 to 1/2 NPTM at $2
- 2 - coupler pairs at 1/2" - at $16
- 1/4" quick coupler - 1/4" pair at $11
- Metal
