This is the short version of what people should do. Additionally, if there's an already made printer, you can begin each step with disassembly. This could be nice since then the wrapping of wires would already be done and not something that gets left to later.
Short version of the Printer: Axis: (add completed)
* touch motor + drive pully * build idler * tension belt * only build 1 axis.
Heated Bed:
* add therminster,
Extruder:
* assemble completed elements to make extruder * add fan * add sensor
Control Panel:
* connect arduino to ramps board
Assembly:
* put on the x-axis * hook up the x-axis * connect to control panel: * extruder elements: thermister, heating element, motor * Connect power supply * connect bed thermister
Print:
* learn baby steps process * get expectations on how many prints * get introduced to concept of 3-5 days, 24 printing hours, to wear in a printer
