  • Worked on revising the instruction manuals for the Module and the Module of the CEB 6 brick press.

  • Second day bringing the brick press to the Midwest Renewable Energy Fair at the MREA in Custer, WI.
  • Pressed bricks as an exhibition at the fair.

  • First day bringing the brick press to the Midwest Renewable Energy Fair at the MREA in Custer, WI.
  • Helped with final assembly of the brick press.
  • Prepared soil for pressing bricks.

  • Third day of the CEB 6 brick press workshop at the Midstate Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
  • Finished the attachment piece for the Solenoid module.
  • Helped with overall brick press assembly and documentation.

  • Second day of the CEB 6 brick press workshop at the Midstate Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
  • Welding lessons and practice.
  • Continued working on the Hopper module.
  • Reassembled the Solenoid module.

  • First day of the CEB 6 brick press workshop at the Midstate Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
  • Welding lessons and practice.
  • Beginning of brick press assembly. (I worked on assembling the hopper module)

  • Reviewed the instructional manuals for the CEB 6 brick press assembly.
  • Took inventory of brick press steel, materials and tools.
  • Loaded the van and drove to Custer, Wisconsin for the brick press workshop.


Fri Jun 13, 2014

  • Tested 3-d printing a full scale (2540%) model of the male bushing clampshell on the TAZ LULZBOT printer with ABS at an infill density of 0.8, Nozzle size .5 mm, and height 0.5 mm. Also manually raised the z-stop slightly. Successful print!

  • Tested 3-d printing a quarter scale model of the male bushing clampshell on the TAZ LULZBOT printer with ABS at an infill density of 0.8 and height 0.35.

  • Helped assemble the metal frame of the pool.

  • Rotated the drawing of the male bushing clampshell .stl file in FreeCad.
  • Tested 3-d printing a quarter scale model of the male bushing clampshell on the TAZ LULZBOT printer with ABS at an infill density of 0.3.
  • Helped assemble the metal frame of the pool.

Tues Jun 10, 2014

  • Installed a plug-in on sketchup to export files as .stl files.
  • Converted .stl files to .gcode files (through slic3r) to prepare them to print on the LULZBOT 3-D printer.
  • (testing at slic3r settings> Infill> Fill Density> .05)
  • 3-D printed the Minimug with PLA.
  • Viewed .stl files to check measurements in meshlab.

  • First day at FeF.
  • Introduction to the CEB Press.
  • Worked on the instruction manual for the Solenoid Assembly Module.
  • Leveled a 3D-Printer (LULZBOT)
  • Ran Bed Level Check tests
  • Successfully printed my first 3D print. A PLA tubing with holes.
