I have l your initiative at [website] and I like your efforts to bring the people of _______________ together around transition.  I feel that [organization] aligns very much with the work I am currently doing for Open Source Ecology.  Have you heard of them?  They are building, what they call, the Global Village Construction Set – a set of 40 industrial machines that can be replicated inexpensively around the world.
 
They are building the tools and providing the information necessary to build transition towns from the ground up. See video: http://vimeo.com/16106427
