Recycling Infrastructure
Our recycling infrastructure consists of:
- Many (under 10) 5 gallon buckets
- Many (under 10) 55 gallon barrels
- Outdoor platform, 3' by 15'
Designation System
- The buckets and barrels are designated as necessary (ex. if compost collection rate is high, 2 or more buckets may be designated) to:
Paper
Organic
Glass
Steel
Aluminum
Plastic
Trash
Action System
- The buckets are organized inside the residential space such that discarded materials are easily transported to the designated buckets.
- Full buckets are unloaded into the barrels.
- The contents of barrels are transported to the recycling centre or recycled on-site (ex. organic stays on-site, plastic goes to centre)
