Solar Power Cube 17.10

The solar power cube is driven by a solar panel to pump hydraulic fluid with the initial purpose of powering an autonomous tractor for agricultural use.

Pulley and Belt Sizing

 The RPM of the electric motor is 450 RPM at 36VDC and must drive the pulley on the hydraulic pump at 280 RPM, so the ratio of pulleys is 248:450 or roughly 5:9, with .
 The larger pulley goes on the pump and the smaller on the electric motor.
 
 The shaft on the electric motor is 13/16" and the shaft on the pump is 1/2".
