State of the art in collaboration

https://git-scm.com/ Git is imo the defacto collaboration protocol of the 21st century.
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki Mediawiki powers this wiki and Wikipedia :) Critical for distributing data for search on the open internet compared to Git or Google Docs.
https://workspace.google.com/ Convenient and accessible office file sharing and search. Proprietary, but free.
https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=MS-vsliveshare.vsliveshare-pack + other online collaborative code editors. Coding together in real time. Not commonly used in industry (why?)

Analysis of current collaboration methods relating to open source hardware
