I downgraded the performance spec from 300 lb/hr @ 20kW (66 watt-hr/lb) which is pretty much impossible since it requires a lot more than this to physically melt steel (fundamental thermodynamic property of iron). ChuckH 11:35, 7 January 2012 (CET)
Everything I have seen suggests that coreless crucible is what we need, not channel furnace. Suggest we declare this on wiki. ChuckH 01:45, 22 January 2012 (CET)
