OpenCascade apparently has some kind of CAE and CAM functions or they said it integrates them somehow? We should definitely look into that if so. I'm trying to install OpenCascade but haven't figured it out yet. What do you suggest is the best way to install it with everything I need and then start it? Some tutorials have all the command lines needed to install and start a program. Maybe you can document it faster than I can find it, Sam. Let's talk about a learning curriculum for BRL-CAD.
It would be great to get several people proficient in BRL-CAD usage
A parallel project could be to develop easier to use interfaces for BRL-CAD.
We can develop this curriculum while we learn, right here in the wiki.
I will start placing notes at BRLCAD_learning_notes
Let's also seriously explore Open Cascade http://www.opencascade.org/
