General
- 0.3 mm accuracy
- 1 liter per hour printing volume capacity for the amount of material deposited
- Component cost of $300 for DIY fabrication
- Controlled by open source software
Flexibility
- Tool holder adaptable to microcircuit fabrication, therefore it could make its own control circuit
- Plastic extruder head is replaced with small router to etch circuits from boards
- Also adaptable to solid state laser head, so it could do circuits via lithography?
- Connecting rods extrudable on a small scale, see Metal Extrusion Specifications
- Basic design should be extendable to smaller and larger RepRap versions
