Module Breakdown with explanations of how each module fits into the OSE Specifications.

Universal Frame

The Universal Frame module is a scalable and low-cost foundation for the 3D printer. Its open source, simple design allows for distributed manufacturing of the frame using common off the shelf components combined with 3D printed parts.

Interfaces

  • The top corners interface with the ends of the Y axes using nuts and screws.
  • The Z axes are affixed to the frame via movable bases that are secured in place with fasteners screwed into plastic.
