Recycling Infrastructure
Our recycling infrastructure consists of:
- Many (under 10) 5 gallon buckets
- Many (under 10) 55 gallon barrels
- Outdoor platform, 3' by 15'
Designation System
- The buckets and barrels are designated as necessary (ex. if compost collection rate is high, 2 or more buckets may be designated) to:
Paper
Organic
Glass
Steel
Aluminum
Plastic
Trash
Action System
- The buckets are organized inside the residential space such that discarded materials are easily transported to the designated buckets.
- Full buckets are unloaded into the barrels.
Our recycling infrastructure consists of multiple 5-gallon buckets for storing different types of used items (ex. paper, plastic, glass, metal, organic).
When a 5-gallon bucket is filled up, its contents are moved to a larger storage vessel. An area is designated for multiple large storage containers each for storing different types of used items.
When a large storage container is filled up, its contents are transported either to an even larger storage system or recycled through various processes.
