situation in Germany

  • dramatic price development of leasehold in a distance of 12,5 miles from a power plant, that means either you produce corn or your small yield
  • since the start of the state driven promotion of biomass to biogas exploitation, more than 20% of arable land is lost to its monoculture
  • due to monoculture massive loss in flora and fauna
  • due to conventional farming practices and non crop rotation, the soils are suffering severely
  • people (share holdes tend to believe them) think in Germany that fuel sources are the problem for transportation and "better cars" in the future. Transportation instead is only a function in a system of distribution. The distribution, which is now established in the industrialised countries are a result of urban planning upon the fiction, that structural establishment of individual cars will last longer than planned. James Howard Kunstler will tell you more.

Besides that the impact of biogas in Germany is underestimated even on organic farms as a small additional resource for cheese dairies, kitchens, showers and heating. If it is waste gas anyway than the use might be fine, but not with extra land for which you need even more cattle to fertilize it. --Scoid 13:31, 30 July 2012 (CEST)
