For Hardware
Apply one of these licenses to the hardware and related documentation, instructions, CAD files, schematics, PCB's etc.
- Go to Open Source Hardware and put the logo on your hardware, hardware designs, schematics, etc and provide some kind of license file with it.
- Go to CERN Open Hardware License and follow the instructions.
For Software
- GPL Once under GPL derivatives must remain under GPL.
- FreeBSD Once under FreeBSD, derivative licences can be changed.
For Software, Music and Video
- Creative Commons Craft your own license, you choose what attributes you want to have associated with it.
Public Domain
- You can declared something into the Public Domain by providing a legal statement with it that states so. Once in the Public Domain it cannot be copy righted.
