Templates

  • Using templates is an effective non-CNC fabrication method that eases the manufacturing process by taking advantage of design uniformity.
  • Template-component match drilling involves easier clamping and more usability/versatility than component-component match drilling.
  • For alignment purposes, the use of templates should involve datum edges for aligned clamping of the template to its component before drilling.
