Finishing to edit instructional video on assembling in FreeCad. Objective : publish on YouTube and Facebook this morning.

Monday May 2nd, 2017

Created Log. Beginning work on assembly of tractor in new FreeCad instructional video. Finished recording video. While working on it, discovered that certain screws in mesh format take incredible amounts of memory and take long time to upload into FreeCad. The 2 FreeCad online videos proved helpful several times. New video instructional up tomorrow. Objective : introduce how to import, export files to and from FreeCad and how to assemble parts together. Added some extra info to show where to get all tools needed to assemble (extra packages such as Assembly2). Reached out to art and business friend to edit video.

MJ Says: were the 2 FreeCAD instructionals helpful? Absolutely! Very full of good examples.

Created account on OSE. Made preparations for creating an instructional video for design of tractor. Downloaded FreeCad, SketchUp, Blender, Kdenlive. Watched instructional videos on how to record and edit videos of your screen. From Part library, dowloaded 8 modules needed to assemble tractor. Converted certain files from .skp to .obj. Found that grouping complex modules into a group in SketchUp greatly decreases time of upload on FreeCad. Read on FreeCad software limitations.
