A clear distinction must be made regarding the meaning of project. OSE considers anything without a sustaining revenue model to be a project. At the point that a sustaining revenue model is created, the prject shifts to the status of a product. This implies value creation that is used as a feedback loop that provides energy back to the product development effort, which makes the effort swell. We emphasize the point of financial feedback loops because that is what proves the value, transitions the project towards growth potential. Otherwise, the project just fades away over time, and it must be subsidized to keep it going. Subsidies limit the growth potential of any project, but at the point of sustainable revenue, the game changes to a potentially world-changing effort.
