Looks like an easy solution but shortcoming is wind loads, which this idea is specifically not designed for.

The labor requirements are one day for building the 5 or 10 panel system. Earth anchors are not a robust solution if those are 10" anchors as suggested. Larger ones are far more labor intensive.

Summary: looks good on paper, but in practice I have a hard time seeing wide replication. We could not use this at the OSE headquarters due to wind loads.

NB: Building-integrated design is much more efficient. Racking for the [[Seed Eco-Home PV System]] cost only $320 for 3.4 kW, or 17% or 9 cents per watt. This wire-post proposal is 30 cents/watt - so about 3x as high for the materials.
