Pole and Wire PV Racking

Looks like an easy solution but shortcoming is wind loads, which this idea is specifically not designed for.

The labor requirements are one day for building the 5 or 10 panel system. Earth anchors are not a robust solution if those are 10" anchors as suggested. Larger ones are far more labor intensive.

Summary: looks good on paper, but in practice I have a hard time seeing wide replication. We could not use this at the OSE headquarters due to wind loads.

NB: Building-integrated design is much more efficient. Racking for the Seed Eco-Home PV System cost only $320 for 3.4 kW, or 17% or 9 cents per watt. This wire-post proposal is 30 cents/watt - so about 3x as high for the materials.
