If you have seen the Global Village Construction Set TED Talk - if you are curious about how you can get more involved in the Open Source Ecology project as a student - then read on.

hands-on internships and collaboration experiences with Open Source Ecology. Students have a great opportunity to undertake a meaningful project and help Open Source Ecology build open source blueprints for a civilization. There are several ways university students can get involved:

*Summer internships
*Alternative Break programs
*Capstone Projects
*

Students get involved in:

* Design, build and documentation of one of the tools of the Global Village Construction Set (or propose and build a new tool we hadn't thought of)
* Replicate one of the tools we have already designed, such as the LifeTrac tractor, or the Compressed Earth Block press
* Help us build the documentation, such as drafting CAD files for the GVCS tools
* Any other way you want to contribute!

What we are expecting
We are expecting commitment to results from your part. We are willing to help in all ways we can.

Dear Students, if you are looking for a different experience - this opportunity is for you. I have started the Open Source Ecology project in 2007, started our R&D center from raw land, built up basic infrastructure - and if the rate of progress continues, we can finish the entire Global Village Construction Set by the end of 2015.

To get there, this summer, we are doing the most ambitious and intensive buildout that the project has seen to date. We will be building additonal labs, housing, and other supporting infrastructure to take development to warp speed. We will be hosting about 3 dozen students over the summer.

We will break up into 3 groups of 12 to work on
