• 2003 - Open Source Ecology coined. See OSE Legacy Site
• 2004 - OSE Incorporated for the first time in Madison, Wisconsi
• 2005 - OSE moves from Wisconsin to Missouri, rents land in Osborn, Missouri
• 2006 - OSE settles on 30 acres in Maysville, Missouri
• 2006 - Earthbag Hut built
• Oct 2007 - Factor e Farm Blog started
• Sept 1, 2007 - 30 acre parcel was named Factor e Farm
• May 1, 2007 - plant-out of 200 tree orchard donated by Stark Brothers Nursery
• Nov 1, 2007 - Cordwood Hut addition built
• 2007 - First brick press prototype built in lean-to workshop
• Apr 2008 - Global Village Construction Set name coined, presented for the first time at the University of Missouri, Columbia.
• 2008 - Plantout of 200 more orchard trees.
• Sep 5, 2008 - First open source tractor prototype built. LifeTrac I
• 2009 - Power Cube, Microtractor, Soil Pulverizer, Brick Press II, and Heavy Duty Drill Press prototypes built

• Dec 2010 - Founder is selected as a TED Fellow
• Mar 2011 - Project reaches the world stage with the Global Village Construction Set TED Talk.
• Apr 2011 - First ever production run of GVCS machines - cleared $25k
