Mechanical

  1. 3" shaft
  2. 3/4" keyway for motor and implement mounting
  3. Double-chain coupler for flexible mounting
  4. Compatible with 15,000 in lb torque and 30,000 lb vertical weight loading when mounted on a vehicle frame (needs CAE)
  5. Bolt-down wheel mount for easy takeoff and replaceability or universal rotor implements
  6. Can accept any hub and wheel, such as tubeless truck tire, steel wheels, etc
  7. Clamp-based axial thrust handling mechanism

Fabrication

  1. Made from off-shelf parts, only milling required is keyway
  2. Welded construction
  3. 6 human hour build time from CNC cut parts to weld, mill, and assemble

Product Ecology

  1. Builds on existing Universal Rotor frame geometry (proven) with 4 bolt-through or 2 bolt-around mounting to 4" square tubing
  2. Compatible with CNC Torch Table, Geardown Module of Bulldozer, Power Cube, Biohydraulic fluid, Oil Expeller, LifeTrac, Precision Machining Construction Set, and Induction Furnace infrastructures
  3. Interchangeable hydraulic motors

Human Factors

  1. Liftable by a single strong farmer (weight limit 250lb)
  2. Transparent connection to the frame with 2 or 4 bolts
  3. Field-serviceable by taking off in the field

Scalability

  1. Relevant for <1000lb microtractors and >20,000lb heavy equipment such as bulldozers and larger tractors.
  2. Multiple units of these are attachable to frames for stronger drive

Cost

  1. $500 prototype cost and $250 production cost goal for materials + hydraulic motor cost
