After receiving a Ph.D. in fusion physics, Marcin became Frustrated with the lack of relevance to pressing world issues. He founded Open Source Ecology in 2003 in order to make closed-loop manufacturing a reality - by unleashing the power of accelerated innovation, open source hardware, and Extreme Manufacturing.
