*Day 1 - 52.0-54.5 - 2.5 hours actual dig time first day. Smoothing foundation. Rest was lights, staking, problemsolving. Started actual pond. It took time to figure out the strings.
*Day 2 - Dig - 54.5 - 59 - 4.5 hours actual dig time. Up to moving 1/2 the dug soil.

  1. Use string for boundary
  2. For 6' pond, tracks of mini excavator fit right between strings
  3. Can drive over string
  4. Remove clods off string
  5. Cut boundary of entire hole with teeth to produce a sharp edge, pointing down with teeth and pushing away
  6. start in mid of 6' wide to avoid edge damage
  7. work towards edge using curl of bucket to smooth sides
  8. Work right up to string, bucket should be accurate enough.
  9. Stake to outside of area 6' out, so corner stakes are not in way of machine
