Basics

- MIG stands for Metal-Inert Gas Welding

- Uses a permanent welding gun that feeds a consumable wire core,and sprays a cone of sheild gas (usually nitrogen or argon)

- Is inexensive, versitile and simple, and is of a better quality than stick welding

- It can't weld the advanced metals, or have as much control as TIG welding however
