Basics

  • MIG welding is an abreviation for Metal Inert Gas Welding
  • It consists of a welding gun with a internal wire feed. This is connected to a sheild gas supply (Usually Argon), and an electricity supply. The user then creates an electric arc on the weld area and the wire is constantly feed in acting as the flux
  • It offers the more precision than stick welding, a good amount of possible materials, and good qoverall weld quality
  • It is in between stick welding and TIG welding in terms of both preformance and cost.
