This seems like a good product, have they open sourced it? It may be worth it to reach out to the creator(s).

On another note, would we want to modify it to work with something other than bags to be less wasteful?

I might be making a few construction sets for "Agriculture" , "Aquaculture", "Dairy Farming" etc. soon. This would go well in a "Fungiculture" construction set.
