Phases
- Validate Titan Aero extrusion
- Validate Titan Aero cooling fan
- Validate LCD
- Validate electronics mounting
Basics for Advanced Extruder Operation
8" Bed
- Validate USA Titan Aero Volcano operation - get all settings correct
- Validate China Titan Aero Volcano - for lower cost sourcing
- Validate card reader + LCD - this is a great improvement on usability and testing upon startup
- Validate double sided adhesion of 8" bed surface - makes sure that the surface never comes off and can stand high temperature printing
- Validate Acrylic electronics mounting - for tight and transparent cable management and taking up of any slack. Can we laser cut with D3D laser cutter in future iterations.
- Validate frame assembly from welded bar. Must be done in conjunction with self-mixing epoxy method. Could be during next workshop. Needs external frame for welding. Validation shows whether this would be a practical route for remote workshops - otherwise we would need to ship frames.
- Validate Volcano cooling fan assembly + sensor mount
Other
- Validate insulated mounting of bed - important for higher temperature prints with 200C bed + polycarbonate
- Validate bottom insulation of bed for better energy efficiency
Advanced Drivers
- Validate Trinamic driver quiet operation
- Validate sensorless endstop operation with Trinamic drivers
Advanced Heater Surface
- Validate DIY heater beds with steel - 120V for scalable system.
- Validate DIY heater beds for 12V or 24V operation
- Validate DIY heater beds with aluminum
Voltage
- Upgrade to 24V operation - [1]
